Participation and governance
The Human Family seeks a worldwide institution rooted in equal dignity, open deliberation, and peaceful collective action. The current Assembly is a pilot operated by The Raines Foundation, not an elected global government.
Equal participation
Membership is free. Every eligible signed-in member account may cast one ballot per open resolution. Donations never provide extra votes. One account does not yet guarantee one unique person: identity verification and protections against coordinated manipulation are still in development.
Resolution lifecycle
Members propose resolutions for discussion. Administrators review proposals for safety and basic suitability, then may open a seven-day voting period. Votes are support, oppose, or abstain. Results are publicly counted; administrative closure is not an automatic claim of worldwide consensus. Pilot adoption is a recorded administrative designation, not a mandate over nonparticipants.
Participation rules
Respect human dignity. Do not threaten, harass, promote violence, reveal private information, impersonate others, or manipulate participation. Constructive disagreement and minority viewpoints are welcome. Report suspected violations through the relevant resolution page.
Oversight and appeal
Administrators record moderation decisions. Affected members may submit an appeal for administrator review. A separate independent member-governed oversight process remains a future governance milestone, not an existing safeguard.
Collective action and philanthropy
Resolutions express the view of participating members and encourage voluntary action. They cannot compel government policy, override human rights, or direct charitable funds without independent fiduciary review.
Accessibility and language
We aim to make participation accessible worldwide, including multiple languages, screen readers, keyboard use, and mobile devices. English is the current reference version of the pilot rules; translated deliberation and full language parity are not yet available.
